Forward Deployed Engineer
About the Role
Join a B2B SaaS team building software for certification, inspection, and compliance workflows. You will work directly with customers to understand how their operations run and turn real-world challenges into production-ready software and AI-powered tools.
What You'll Do
Embed with customer operations teams to understand how certification, inspection, and compliance work in practice.
Lead customer conversations, write specifications, and build end-to-end solutions across the frontend, backend, data model, and AI layer.
Own product areas from discovery through production, iterating quickly based on direct user feedback.
Use judgment to identify which customer needs are broadly useful and which are specific to one workflow.
Analyze customer documents, calls, and outputs to develop workflows for scheduling, technical review, conformity assessment, field inspection, and document intelligence.
What We're Looking For
Three to six years of software or product engineering experience, with a track record of shipping production systems.
Full-stack development skills, including Python, TypeScript, React, Node.js, SQL, and experience with AI/ML, LLMs, document intelligence, or cloud infrastructure.
Experience building products or systems from the ground up, ideally in an early-stage or founding engineering role.
Comfort working directly with customers, learning operational needs, and communicating clearly.
A strong academic or technical foundation and experience outside professional services or consulting.
Forward-deployed engineering experience is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: £100,000 to £160,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
