Position Summary

The Part-Time Data Operations Associate (Day Shift) supports the Sample and Data Operations team through a combination of administrative and operational activities that help ensure respondent records, materials, and cases are accurate, complete, and ready for Field and CATI operations. The role includes production activities such as electronic tracing, contact data updates, returned mail processing, data entry, database maintenance, document preparation, tracking and quality assurance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct electronic searches to identify updated contact information for respondents, alternate contacts, and businesses using subscription and public databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Accurint, etc.)
  • Update respondent records within the tracing database with newly identified information
  • Track and process returned mail and update records accordingly
  • Perform data entry using Excel, Access, and survey platforms (e.g., VOXCO)
  • Maintain and update databases and tracking systems with high accuracy
  • Assist in maintaining process documentation, schedules, and tracking logs
  • Provide general administrative support to the unit
  • Complete assignments from the Sample and Data Operations Manager
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements AND Key Competencies

  • Option 1: Part-time (e.g., 8:00 am – 2:00 pm), with flexibility based on operational needs
  • Option 2: Part-time afternoon, evening shift (2:00 pm – 7:00 pm), with flexibility based on operational needs
  • Saturdays with flexibility based on operational needs.
  • High school diploma required
  • Intermediate computer skills: able to navigate within databases and electronic search engines; able to adapt quickly to new computer systems
  • Ability to work up to 30 hours per week
  • May include weekend shift availability
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work well independently or in a team environment and in a fast- paced environment
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Self-starter

Typical Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Requires sitting, standing, and bending and a normal range of hearing and vision.
